Another Successful Summer Dance Camp!

The annual Let’s Dance Summer Camp took place in June at the Esperanza Theater and Arts Center. The camp, in partnership with Philadelphia Ballet, is a two-week immersive program that serves middle and high school students from across Philadelphia who are interested in taking their love of dance to the next level. 

The camp’s rigorous schedule featured not only technical dances classes but also choreography workshops as well as classes on dance production and costume design. The camp culminated in a student performance at the Esperanza Theater for family and friends. The high school students developed original choreography and coached fellow students on how to perform the dance they created.

The program was taught by dance professionals and the students learned technique in ballet, modern dance, hip hop, and African Dance. The high school students will have the opportunity to dance on stage accompanied by the All City Orchestra Summer Academy at the Mann Center on August 4, 2022. It will be a wonderful celebration of dance and music performed by outstanding Philadelphia students.
